Dr. Damodar Regmi 

Dr. Damodar Regmi was born in the Palpa district of Nepal and now

lives in Kathmandu. Dr. Regmi is a well-known administrator. He is a

prolific writer and lyrics writer.  He has been actively involved in

the development of Palpa and Palpali Sangam USA.   He is an advisor of

Palpali Sangam, America. Dr.Regmi received his Ph.D. in Economics.

Currently, he has been involved in different research activities.

Dr.Vishnu Khanal, Ph.D

Dr Vishnu Pathak, is a luminary figure whose life's journey resonates with dedication to education, social service, and cultural engagement. Born in Dhrubaghat Tansen-1, Palpa, Nepal, his passion for knowledge led him to pursue a distinguished career spanning 37 years as a professor of Management at Tribhuvan University. He has etched his journey in "Mero Aatmakatha." Beyond academia, he serves as an advisor to Tinkune Tole Sudhar Samiti and established scholarship trusts, nurturing young minds in Nepal. His influence transcends borders, having coordinated the Palpali Sangam in the UK. Literature, social service, and travel fuel his passion, making him a beacon of education, community spirit, and cultural connection.

        Man Mohan Shrestha

Man Mohan Shrestha, born on April 1, 1951, resides in Bhagawati Tole, Tansen-3, Palpa, and holds an MA in Economics (1975) from Tribhuvan University. His academic career includes positions from Assistant Lecturer to Campus Chief at Tribhuvan Multiple Campus in Tansen, Palpa, along with roles as Department Head of Economics and Assistant Campus Chief. Shrestha has also served as District Chairperson for the Forum for Human Rights, Chairperson of Western Rural Development Bank, and is the current Chairperson of GETUP Palpa and the Homestay Association of Tansen. His publications focus on local tourism, including brochures on trekking routes and co-authored works in both English and Nepali. Shrestha’s contributions have earned him multiple awards, including those from the Ministry of Education and Palpa Language Academy, recognizing his dedication to education and tourism development in Palpa.

Mahesh Bhattarai

Mahesh Bhattarai, a native of Kaseni Madi, now Mathigadi, has a rich background as a Medical Professional with over 35 years of experience. Having dedicated more than two decades to the healthcare field in Nepal, he has gained valuable expertise and knowledge in his profession. Since 2005, Mahesh has been residing in Maryland with his wife and son. Aside from his medical career, Mahesh is an ardent social activist, passionately advocating for various social causes. His love for writing extends to exploring and sharing insights on social topics, further contributing to the discourse on important issues. Additionally, he finds solace in nature, thoroughly enjoying the beauty it offers. Traveling and photography are among his cherished hobbies, allowing him to capture and preserve precious moments and landscapes. Mahesh embodies a diverse range of interests and experiences, combining his professional expertise, social activism, love for writing, and passion for nature and travel into a fulfilling and meaningful life journey.

Parashu Nepal

Parashu Nepal is originally from Pokharathok, now Bagnaskali Local Government. He is running a training/capacity building/ consulting /research company that serves public/private officials from developing countries in various economic development-related topics. He lives in Lorton Virginia with his wife Ranju and daughter Preetisha.

Keshav Sharma, PhD

Keshav Sharma, PhD, is a research scientist working as a cell molecular biologist at the 22nd Century Group. His work involves the application of molecular biology and genetic engineering to produce high-value crops to improve human health. He earned his master’s and PhD from Mississippi State University in the biological sciences and has contributed to the scientific community by reviewing and publishing peer-reviewed journals in plant pathology and molecular biology. His research interests include the improvement of quality traits in plants by exploring genetic resources and broader collaborations. He completed his middle and high school education in Tansen and received his bachelor’s degree in agriculture science from the IAAS at TU Chitwan, Nepal. He loves traveling and making new friends. He joined Palpali Sangam to connect with Palpali and try some volunteer work for community upliftment.

Susheel Pangani

Susheel Pangeni is a PhD scholar (major: Physics) at Wayne State University, Detroit, Michigan. Susheel was born in Siluwa VDC (current Purwakhola Village Council), Taltung, Palpa. His family resides in Tansen – 1, Gairagaun, Palpa.  He has been working at different community organizations. He has keen interests in Nepali literature and Cricket.

Jitendra Rana

Jitendra Rana is an IT Professional/Accountant/Tax Preparer residing in Chicago, IL, since 2008. He is living with his wife Junu and two sons. He has been involved and volunteered with communities and contributed to institutionalized non-profit organizations. He loves traveling, photography, and videography in his leisure time.

Shankar Karki

Shankar is originally from Mujhung, Palpa. He was raised in Mujhung until 7 th grade and moved to Tansen to complete his high school. After completing his high school. He went to Jameshedpur, India to pursue Bachelor of Engineering (Electrical). He worked at Butwal Power Company and Nepal Electricity Authority in Nepal for 5 years. He went to the Asian Institute of Technology, Thailand for his  Master of Engineering. He completed his Ph. D. (Electrical Engineering) from the University of North Dakota. He is a Senior Member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. After completing his studies, he worked in various Electrical Research Institutes and planning organizations including the Electrical Power Research Institute (EPRI). Since 2013, he has been working at Lakeland Electric,  an Electric Utility in central Florida as a lead engineer in the planning and design of a utility generation portfolio.

 He lives in Tampa, Florida with his wife Sarita and two sons Sakar and Savin. He enjoys being involved in community activities including Tampa Bay Nepalese Community.

 Binaya Khanal, MD

Binaya Khanal, MD is originally  from Kusumkhola ( now Ribdikot) and now resides in Camas, WA, with his wife Anjali and daughters- Ashmi and Sanvi. He is a nephrologist ( kidney physician) with over 14 years experience and works as chair of department of nephrology at Vancouver Clinic, WA. Having an experience working as a physician in Nepal including district hospitals, and with post graduate training and service in USA, he is uniquely equipped to understand the health care needs across rural to developed settings. He also worked as a primary care physician in remote atolls of Marshall Islands in the Pacific before moving to United States. Passionate of hiking, travel, and volunteering in charitable projects, he previously served as a board member for America Nepal Medical Foundation. Within medicine, he is interested in Global health and Preventive Medicine, and dreams of adopting Yogic practices, including ancient Ayurveda to mainstream medicine to prevent chronic non-communicable diseases.

Arjun Paudel

Arjun is originally from Anghakhola, Palpa. He completed 8th grade in Anghakhola and high school from Sen Ma. Bi. Tansen, Palpa. Further he did Bachelors in commerce from Tribhuvan Campus Tansen, Palpa. Exploring more in academic journey he completed his master’s in business administration from Huron University South Dakota. Currently he lives in Frisco, TX with his wife Kiran, two sons Anish & Arkit. He was executive member of the Nepalese Society of Texas from 2001 to 2003. He has a strong background in the business field for more than 30 years. Currently he is in retail business since 2009 and actively engaged with local non-profit organizations. He loves to travel and spend time with friends & family.

Sundar Ghimire

Sundar, hailing from the picturesque town of Madanpokhara, has dedicated two decades of his life to serving Nepal Telecom and various other organizations. Throughout his career, he has been a steadfast advocate, raising his voice to champion the rights and causes of many. His passion for social work has driven him to make a meaningful impact on his community.

Currently, Sundar resides in Chicago with his loving family, where they have been building a new chapter in their lives for the past few years.

Madhu Nepal

Madhu is a software developer by profession with a passion for serving society. Madhu was born in Palung Maindai / Ribdikot, Palpa, Nepal, and received double masters in Zoology and Anthropology from Tribhuwan University. He has already worked in Non-Profit organizations, Schools / Colleges, and media houses for more than a decade in Kathmandu. Madhu has developed and delivered many social, environmental, educational programs. This experience gave him a deeper understanding of social and beyond issues. Madhu is always ready to bring positive change to society.

Dr. Sandeep Pandey

Sandeep Pandey MD , FACP is the Internal Medicine Physician at Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Dallas, Texas.

Active in healthcare issues, Dr. Pandey serves as a Chair person for Communication and Medical Education in Texas Nepalese Medical Association ( TNMA) and also a member for Education & Research Development Committee in America Nepal  Medical Foundation ( ANMF ) . He is also active in various social activities in the community. 

He lives in Irving, Texas with his wife Srijana Pandey  and two beautiful daughters Abigail and Alyssa Pandey . 

Dharma Acharya

Dr. Dharma Acharya is originally from Rupse, now Mathagadi Gaupalika, Palpa. Dr. Acharya attended Rajaipokhara Elementary & Middle School up till 7th grade and Sarai Elementary & Middle School (in Kaseni) for the 8th grade, both in Palpa. Dr. Acharya holds a PhD in Transportation Systems from MIT and has been leading teams to develop railway solutions/models to optimize planning and operation of trains for over thirty years. Dr. Acharya has two grown up daughters Sheila and Silpa and a son Suraj and currently lives in Ponte Vedra, Florida with his wife Kopila. Dr. Acharya likes to run regularly and likes to be active with Nepali Communities in general and is very excited to be part of Palpali Sangam USA with the hope of being able to help uplift the livelihood of Palpalis living in Palpa and around the world.

Dr. Rudra Aryal

Dr. Rudra Aryal was born and raised at Rampur in the Palpa district of Nepal and now lives in New Hampshire, USA. Dr. Aryal has been actively involved in the  American- Nepali communities in the USA and beyond. He is an advisor of Palpali Sangam, America, and has also served as advisor of NRNA USA (2015/2017; 2017/2019) and Patron of NRNA USA (2019/2021). Dr.Aryal received his Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Miami, Florida, USA. Currently, his research affiliates with Nepal, air pollution over Nepal, and the air pollution over the Atlantic Ocean near Bermuda.

Bilas Upadhyay

Bilas has an MBA degree from USA and has earned his CPA from Texas, USA. Bilas is the owner of a CPA firm based in Sunnyvale, Texas. He also works for Bank of America in Trust Tax Department. He along with his wife owns and operates a Family Practice Clinic in Mesquite, Texas. Bilas has been supporting indigent community in Nepal through various projects. Bilas lives with wife Vishnu Maya and three children in Sunnyvale, Texas.

Jagadish Kaphle

Jagadish Kaphle is a Hospitality and Information Technology business owner originally from Sarai, Palpa Madi, attended high school in Damkada, colleges in NCC Minbhavan and CalState, Fullerton, CA. He currently lives in Houston, Texas with his wife and a daughter. As a hospitality veteran for more than 2 decades, he also holds prestigious honor form Nepal Government as Honorary Public Relations Representative from Ministry of Tourism and Nepal Tourism Board, he is working to promote Tourism for Nepal in North Americas.

He has also been involved in NRN Texas Chapter and Board Member, current Executive of Nepalese Association of Houston (NAH) and a Trustee of Pashupati Temple of Richmond, TX.

Kapil Karki is currently working  at Gilead Sciences for more than 10 years. Before joining Gilead, he worked at Pfizer. He graduated from University of Michigan with MS. Sagar Ghimire

My name is Sagar Ghimire. I am from Palpa Bandipokhara.  I have been living in Baltimore, Maryland for the past 12 years.  When I was in Nepal, I worked as a journalist for about 7 years. I had the opportunity to work in various radio stations, newspapers, and online. I also worked in various organizations for human rights and youth.  I'm doing small business in the US right now.  I am also working in journalism and non-profit organization.  I live in the White Marsh area in Maryland with my wife, a daughter, and a son. Kul B. Bishokarma is an IT professional from Ramputer-10, Palpa. He lives with his wife Sangita, daughter Ayushree, and son Abhinav in Plano, Texas. He loves to help people in need. Laxman Nepal

Laxman Nepal is from Palung Mainadi, Palpa. He started his career as a high school teacher, then spent over a decade teaching physics at Colleges and the University of Cambridge A-level institutes. 

Since 2007, he is living in Los Angeles, California with his wife Sumitra and two daughters, Apekshya and Subhekshya. He’s specialized in math education. He earned teaching credentials in secondary mathematics and physics, teacher induction credentials, and a master’s in mathematics education from CSUN.

Over two decades, Laxman has actively been engaged in social service activities in the communities through various organizations. He has also served in Lions Clubs International as a club president and others.

Rasmi Bhattarai

Born and raised in Damkada, Palpa, Rasmi Bhattarai now calls Maryland, USA home. Since relocating to the United States in 2012 with her family, Rasmi has established a successful career in the healthcare industry.

As a dedicated and compassionate Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, Rasmi brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her work. She holds not one, but two master's degrees in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner, demonstrating her commitment to providing exceptional care to her patients.

Rasmi's true passion lies in mental health, and she is eager to make a positive impact in her community. With a strong desire to give back, she is actively seeking opportunities to get involved in community services and promote mental wellness.
